The chapter that we are presently writing...all of us...has the potential to end with hope and peace...setting the stage for the next chapter, which could be titled "Living in Connected Harmony", and talks about a path of seeking right relationship. For the most part, our animal companions have modeled non-judgement and loving acceptance, allowing us to live and learn within the confines of our sometimes disconnected human egos. They are here to teach us how to find and accept responsibility for our role in shaping the destiny of life on the earth. The place where that responsibility lives is deep within our hearts. It is found every time we laugh. And every time we breathe compassion into a difficult situation. And each time we ask of another living creature: "What can I learn from you today?", rather than "let me tell you what to do..."What will you contribute to the story? The pages in this Connected Animal section offer tangible, practical ways to connect to your animals from your heart. Whether you need guidance in teaching your animal friend the skills for easy living in a human culture, or resolving a communication roadblock, or assisting with healing, well-being and transitions -- explore these pages for an inspiring journey to connection. Perhaps you would enjoy shepherding with your herding dog. Or talking to your horse, or helping your cat with an emotional challenge. Maybe you would like to learn healing arts skills yourself, to incorporate into your life with animals. I invite you to explore the possibilities of a Heart~Connected relationship with your animals...and I hope to meet you soon!
