How do I schedule an appointment with Kathy?

You may email Kathy first to set up your appointment, or you may register online first and Kathy will contact you to schedule your appointment. Each page has a link that takes you to the store where you may register online.

Do I have to register online?

Yes, all first time clients must register online for their first appointment to create an account and provide Kathy with your important information. Everyone must register online for all events to reserve your spot.

Do I have to pay online before my session/lesson?

Kathy requests that all first time clients registering for a private lesson, consultation, or session of any type pay online to confirm your scheduled appointment. All events must be paid in advance to confirm your registration. If you cannot pay online for some reason, please email Kathy to discuss other arrangements.

Where is Dancing Hearts located? Can I get directions?

Dancing Hearts is located in Manhattan, Illinois...about 60 miles sw of Chicago, near the city of Joliet. The farm is easily accessed from I-55, I-80 and I-57. You will receive directions via email when you register for any private appointment or event. The address will display on your emailed confirmation/receipt after you register.

What happens for herding lessons when the weather is bad?

First, remember that conditions in Manhattan may be very different from conditions where you live, even if it's in the Chicagoland area. Generally, we can't work if it's raining hard, thunder storming, extremely hot, bitter cold, or the footing is dangerous/slippery. Kathy will email you as soon as it becomes apparent that conditions require cancellation...or will call you if the conditions change more suddenly. Be sure Kathy has your home and mobile phone number in case a cancellation is necessary. If you have pre-paid for your lesson, you have the option to either reschedule or request a refund.

What is your appointment cancellation policy?

Please notify Kathy 24 hrs or more before your appointment if you need to cancel for any reason, so that your time slot may be filled. If an emergency situation/illness causes you to cancel later than that, please call or email Kathy as soon as you are aware. Your appointment will be rescheduled asap. Unwarranted cancellations or no-shows will be considered billable, so please pay for your appointment if that happens.
